Custom orders
Who said a custom menu needs a phone call?
A custom catering order does not have to be a call, a quote, changes, and another round. Customers build the menu inside your rules. The kitchen receives a structured order instead of reconstructing it from a phone call.
Guest counts, prices, and packages on this site are sample data, not fixed 1clickEvents plans.
How a custom order usually happens
The customer calls. The kitchen asks guest count, which meal, starters, mains, allergies, tableware. After the call there is a draft on a sticky note — then another call when changes come in. Someone in the kitchen calculates quantities and price by hand. It is slow, and easy to get wrong.

Active call
A quoting call in practice. Every order field is another question — no built-in price, no prep sheet.
How it looks when the customer orders online
You define packages, dish limits, extras, minimum guests, and delivery rules. The customer chooses inside those rules. The price updates immediately. You are not negotiating every dish on the phone, and you still control what can be ordered.
- Packages with dish limits (for example 3 starters, 2 mains)
- Dish picks inside the package, not an unbounded buffet
- Paid extras when you offer them
- Minimum guests and delivery rules you set

What the kitchen receives
Not a screenshot and not a free-text paragraph. An order with meals, guest count, dishes, extras, price, and a prep sheet. If a regular still calls, you register the same order in admin. Same list, same quantities.
Automatic prep quantities
Sample. Scaled for 38 guests and the selected menu.
The system calculates ingredient quantities from guest count and the dishes the customer picked. The numbers here are sample data.

FAQ
Common questions from catering kitchens
Can customers pick individual dishes, not only a locked package?+
Yes. The package sets how many dishes of each type. Customers pick the actual dishes inside that limit. It is a custom menu with boundaries, not an open buffet.
What if they want something outside the rules?+
They leave a note or call you. You decide whether to exception it. Most orders close inside the packages you defined.
Does this replace every phone call?+
It does not have to. Customers who want to talk still can. The system removes the calls that only assemble a standard menu.
